Archibald Thorburn (1860-1935), Red Grouse in Flight, watercolour and bodycolour over pencil, signed and dated lower left A. Thorburn 1927, 27 x 37cmProvenance: held by the Barlow family late of Furnace Place, Haslemere, passing from generation to generation since they were given to Winifred Barlow by her father Sir Charles Garton who was a friend of the artist. Thorburn lived only a short distance from Furnham Place in Hascombe until his death in 1935.
