A late 19th century Malles Goyard canvas, tan leather, metal and studded travelling trunk, having end carry handles, the hinged lid opening to reveal silk-lined pleated and further canvas lined interior, with removable canvas tray and strappings with brass fastenings marked Goyard, the trunk bears Goyard label to left hand side, in excellent condition with various contemporary travel stickers, the top marked HQ 29525, painted with French flag lower left, 75x44x35cmHProvenance: from the estate of Lt. Col. L.F.B. Grobe, Royal Fusiliers. The trunk travelled to Dunkirk with the first BFF.
