A pair of George III rectangular entree dishes and covers with canted corners and gadrooned edges, the finials modelled as lion heads, by John Scofield, London 1796, 107oz Provenance: from the estate of Elizabeth Pepys-Cockerell, whose husband John was a descendant of the diarist Samuel Pepys. His ancestors had a long association with Sezincote in Gloucestershire
