Busby are delighted to offer the contents of Langebride House, Long Bredy, in our forthcoming Fine Art and Antiques sale.

Highlights include a remarkable George I figured oak cabinet on stand, with mulberry panels and drawer fronts, and a pair of portraits by Herman Gustave Herkomer, of Arthur Henry Sykes, and his wife Harriet Elizabeth Sykes, nee Rushton, ancestors of the current vendor and passed by direct descent through the family.

We will also be offering the remaining contents of Broadhayes House, East Devon, including a portrait of Anna Maria Schumann by Pieter Van Lint, notable for the dark shapeless cloth the sad eyed sitter holds in her lap.

Lastly, the remaining contents of Woodcutts Manor, to include a selection of early oak furniture, and fine paintings.

The sale will be held on Thursday 25th November, with viewings on the preceding Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
