A box of mainly poetry titles including J.C.Squire. Poems of Two Wars (Huitchinson & Co 1940) and inscribed ''Alec Waugh from the author J.Squire 1940'' and J.C.Squire. Poems First Series (Martin Secker, London) inscribed ''Alec Waugh from J.C.Squire Aug 15 1918'' and also by Alec Waugh ''This book was sent to me when I was a prisoner of war in Germany. It contain the censors stamp. AW''. The book also contains the bookplate of Alexander Raban Waugh designed by Evelyn Waugh.Selected Poems of Lord Byron. (Henry Frowde, 1913) signed and inscribed ''Alec R Waugh, The School House, Sherborne - I have simplified my politics into an utter detestation of all existing governments'' Provenance: The Estate of Alec Waugh and thence by descent through the family
