A George III silver pair cased verge pocket watch, signed John Nicholson, 35 Cornhill, London, no. 17580, hallmarked London 1815, the cream convex dial with black Roman numerals and gold spade hands, the verge fusee movement with a pierced and engraved balance cock of a lyre, basket of fruit and scroll flowers and foliage, engraved regulator plate with hand pointing to the silvered regulator disc, cylindrical pillars, three arm steel balance and undersprung balance spring, 55mm diameter
