Kate Harris heads up the rugs and carpets department. She read Classics at Cambridge, and later worked in conservation at the Victorian Society and with English Heritage before a period in the fine art world with the Matthiesen Gallery in St James, London. She has been associated with a number of collections of rugs and carpets for many years.
Since then she relocated with her family to Dorset and has been responsible for the sale of a number of fine rugs from Persia, China, India, Turkey and Europe..
